Shower Thoughts

Subject Matter:
This Print represents the relationship I have between a friend of mine. This is important to me because she is a very important person in my life and she always encourages me to do good and grow was a better person.
Symbolism:
The DNA type of mushroom was used to represent me in the relationship, the three abstract sunflowers resemble her energy, and the background design was integrated to show the relationship. I tried several color techniques what suited the piece best were warm tones because I know she favors warm tones.
Design Process:
To create the design of my block I transferred the image and then carefully carved it out. When creating my final print I used orange and yellow as much as possible but I also explored with color paper. I then printed my carved block on top of the painted/cut paper.
