In this section of the book I really feel like Watsky took a different approach, he wrote how other people experienced the section or story of his life in the moment which was really cool, However, the question of how he went along in doing this was in my mind through reading the book and was never really answered. I would certainly love to be friends with the author and and main character, George Watsky. I've always admired his work and how he chooses to do things but now that I have an idea of what goes through his head I feel like we would hit off pretty well. If I were to interact in this story I would most likely be a background character, but really every one is in this book. As stated earlier I would get along with George because we think alike and I wouldn't really struggle to get along with anyone because most of these people introduced have been positive or learning opportunities .
I will comment on Noel and Cesars blogs.

The chapter I spoke about the last post was Down to the Filter and it turned out to be about Los Angles and learning to love the core of everything that makes us humans, humans. Further into reading, I was introduced to Pauly Shore (an icon to Watsky when he wanted become an actor), students from Kirksville, Missouri (where he got his first large crowd) ,and Paul Norman Watsky (Watskys father). For the most part these characters do have good relationships or have helped Watsky in someway grow and learn. Without these characters I doubt there would even be an essay to write, needless to say without other characters in Watskys story the whole book would be long and lonely.
I will comment on Noel and Cesars blogs. How to Ruin Everything by George Watsky talks about stories in his life such as smuggling tusks to how "Fa Kieu" (flower bridge in Cantonese) influenced his life in one way or another.
George Watsky talks about his adventures and growths in life, something i've noticed is that he briefly talks about large events but goes deeply into the smaller details. My book is written in essay format and shows different stages of his life, because my book does not have a plot I will take the next essays title and guess what it's about. "Down to the Filter", usually I could have some idea of what the chapter is about with reading 1-2 sentences. This chapter however, did not help at all with the title. Knowing George Watskys writing, I believe he will take this both fugitively and literally. I can't really predict much more but I'm looking forward to the chapter. I believe this book will be very human which will make me want to read it. I have very much enjoyed the book so far & I just love George Watsky so much. I will comment on Henna and Noels blog post. |
